National Cooperative Drug Discovery Groups for Nicotine Addiction - A NIDA Synthesis Meeting: This NIDA-sponsored meeting will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will highlight the range of ligand discovery and development research from basic science to clinical trials currently funded under the National Cooperative Drug Discovery Groups (NCDDG). Addressing Tobacco in Health Care National Forum - Translating Health Services Research into Practice and Policy: This meeting will be held from 1:00-5:00 pm and is being coordinated by the Addressing Tobacco in Managed Care National Program Office and funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This pre-conference will provide tobacco control researchers, health services researchers, and others with the opportunity to discuss two emerging opportunities in systems changes and tobacco control: the upcoming PHS Guideline update and applying lessons from tobacco to other health risk behaviors.
