WORKSHOP TITLE
FDA’s Population Health Standard: Balancing the Risks and Benefits in Regulatory Decision-making

 This workshop included three parts:

  1. Presentations on recent FDA regulatory actions and activities to highlight how science informs regulatory policy actions.
  2. Scientific presentations using e-cigarettes as a case study of how scientific data can inform future potential regulatory policy decisions.
  3. A moderated panel discussion with a range of individual perspectives on criteria and factors to consider regarding the risks and potential benefits of tobacco products as part of regulatory decision making.
