2005 Annual Meeting: Updates from the Program Committee
The 2005 SRNT Annual Meeting is being held jointly with the SRNT European meeting next year. The meeting, which will be held in Prague, will be the first time the primary SRNT annual meeting will be held outside the US borders, reflecting the continued emergence of SRNT as a truly international scientific society. In addition to the meeting venue at the Hilton Prague and nearby overflow hotels, we are arranging for low-cost housing alternatives for students, post-docs, starving artists, etc., to make attendance at this important annual event as feasible as possible.
Friday, September 17th has been set as the abstract deadline for the 2005 meeting. The official Call for Abstracts and related information is available on the SRNT web site. Now is the time to start thinking about organized symposia and regular submissions for posters and oral presentations. Please note that, this year, if symposia submissions are not selected, participants will have the option of having their abstracts considered for inclusion at the meeting as a poster or oral paper.

The Program Committee gives a special thanks to Laura Cousino Klein for her outstanding work as Program Chair and Co-Chair for the 2004 and 2003 meetings, respectively. Last year's superb meeting was the largest (and by many accounts, the best) meeting for the society to date. We are fortunate that Laura has agreed to offer her guidance to this year's Program Committee as Past Chair.
The Program Committee is already planning some exciting pre-conference meetings to be held in conjunction with the annual meeting ? details to follow! If you are interested in organizing a workshop or panel discussion separate from the competitively reviewed scientific program, please contact David Drobes (drobesdj@moffitt.usf.edu ) with your ideas.
We are still looking for individuals who are willing to review abstracts for the meeting. If you are interested in serving SRNT in this capacity, please e-mail Suzanne Colby (Suzanne_Colby@brown.edu) with your name and area(s) of expertise. Your name will be forwarded to the appropriate Program Committee members.
