One presumptive case of Coronavirus has been detected in the state of Louisiana.

SRNT 2020 is still on! Full update

SRNT is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of attendees in light of concerns about COVID-19.  The Annual Meeting in New Orleans will take place as planned. We are paying close attention to new developments and following the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These sites include daily updates, recommendations, and tips on travel.

Attendee safety and well-being is our top priority.

We are working with the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel to coordinate appropriate safety procedures. Read this message from David Piscola, the General Manager of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.

The risk of getting COVID-19 in the U.S. is currently low.  As of March 4, there are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Louisiana. The CDC currently recommends that individuals follow everyday preventative actions that include hand washing, covering your cough, and staying home if you are ill.  Exercise discretion if you are not feeling well.

Stay informed and take common-sense precautions (see below). View this interview from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Small bottles of hand sanitizer will be distributed to each attendee from the SRNT registration desk. Hand sanitizing stations will be available at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. Elbow bump greetings and a hand-shake free environment are suggested.

Security staff will be on hand at the Annual Meeting to monitor and respond to any health issues.

We are continuing to track this situation and will provide updates on this site, by email, and through social media outlets.
