Get involved in SRNT and stay connected to the global nicotine/tobacco research community through membership in the Society.

SRNT is the premier associations for people working in this important field of study and provides resources, education, networking and leadership/decision-making opportunities to members.  SRNT represents more than 1,000 members in over 40 countries. Our members are global leaders in the fight against tobacco, working in academia, government, private firms, and more.


BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE SOCIETY FOR RESEARCH ON NICOTINE AND TOBACCO

Benefits of membership in SRNT include:

Please Note:

  • SRNT's membership year is based on the calendar year and SRNT does not pro-rate dues.
  • Persons employed by the traditional tobacco product manufacturers (i.e. cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco) or companies wholly or partially owned by a traditional tobacco product manufacturer are ineligible for membership in SRNT. Updated January 1, 2020

Full Member

  • Confers the privileges of voting and holding elective office.

        Requirements:

  • Evidence of scientific training beyond the undergraduate level,
  • And at least one peer-reviewed publication on nicotine, tobacco-control, or a related topic (which MUST be uploaded during the registration process).

Dues:

High Income Country For-Profit Sector: $315.00
*For-Profit Sector includes: pharmaceutical, ENDs, or other industries; consulting firms; for-profit research companies, for-profit hospitals and clinics; and any other company/organization/business that is not a part of the non-profit sector.

High Income Country Not-For-Profit Sector: $210.00
*Not-For-Profit Sector includes: non-profit community/health/education organizations; government; non-profit hospitals/clinics; or any other organization that is not for-profit.

High Middle Income Country: $50.00

Low Middle Income Country: $25.00

Low Income Country: $10.00

Retired: $50.00

Recent Graduate: $125.00
*1st and 2nd years after receipt of terminal degree
*Year of Graduation MUST be completed in the profile to qualify for the Recent Graduate Membership Dues.

Affiliate Member

  • For those who do not meet the criteria for Full membership, but have an interest in some aspect of research on nicotine or tobacco-control (e.g., scientific, clinical, public health, policy, regulatory, legislative, and/or advocacy).

Student/Trainee

  • For people who are enrolled in a full-time training program in a relevant field. To maintain student membership, students/trainees are required to submit verification of full-time student or post-doctoral training status each year with their membership renewal form.
